A brief overview


The Sr. Contract Manager develops, prepares, and administers contracts, bids, and proposals that meet specifications and comply with all policies and regulations. The incumbent will support or participate in contract negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers. The incumbent will review contract terms to identify any potential risk or compliance issues; examine supporting materials and agreement documents related to bids or contracts and provides guidance; act as liaison between the organization and subcontractors to implement the contracts; and maintain contract records used to ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.

 

What you will do

 

  • Prepare, draft, support, and negotiate all contracts with external stakeholders. Identifying risks and preparing for possible solutions. Inform all relevant stakeholders upon contract finalization.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Global Contract Management and other internal stakeholders from Business Development and Sales, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing as required
  • Represent the company in external contract negotiations and customer meetings
  • Monitor current negotiations status of contracts and independently follow up with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring of notice periods and coordinate with internal stakeholders on next steps
  • As needed, compile and distribute contract summaries.
  • Initiate and negotiate all updates and amendments for existing contracts
  • Organize, track, create and maintain contract templates, providing ideas and support for improvements.
  • Draft special agreements without utilization of a template
  • File contracts as needed (electronic and paper filing) and provide updates on the status of contract negotiations on a regular basis


Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree in law or life sciences
  • 4-6 years experience working in the life sciences, chemistry, bio-sciences or pharmaceutical industry
  • 4-6 years experience in contract management
  • Experience working in a matrix organization (preferred)
  • Experience in project management (preferred)
  • Experience with SalesForce, DocuSign, CLM or Ariba (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledgeable with MS office applications and tools

Base Salary Range: $97,660 - $134,283
  

Placement of new hires in these wage ranges is based on several factors including education, skill sets, experience, and training.
