Facilities Technician I

Your Responsibilities

  The Facilities Technician I – Glass Washer collects, washes, dries and sterilizes all glassware and

   laboratory supplies and other duties as needed.

 

Your Tasks

  • Follow SOPs and approved directions to clean glassware and equipment used in GMP processes
  • Maintain cleaning log for each glassware and equipment
  • Assist in equipment calibration program
  • Follow approved GMP manufacture directions such as Standard Operation Procedures, Standard Test Procedures, and other procedures to prepare buffers packaging operations and other related activities
  • Operate and maintain equipment for manufacturing.  The equipment includes: lyophilizers, balances, diafiltration systems, water systems, ovens, washing systems, column packing stations and others used in manufacturing
  • Monitor compliance of Maintenance and Cleaning procedures of equipment and instruments used in GMP processes by periodically reviewing and signing off on maintenance and cleaning log for each equipment
  • Follow and maintain GMP Documentation System.
  • Investigate any process deviations, write process deviation reports and initiate document change requests
     
     

Your Profile

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years glass washing experience and/or applicable work experience
  • May work with hazardous materials and chemicals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
  • Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues
  • Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment
