We are looking for «Industry 4.0 Engineers» helping Bachem to achieve ambitious growth targets by realizing smart manufacturing concepts.

Our ambition:

Building the most cutting edge peptide and oligo production facility in the world
End to End Integration of the entire automation pyramid
Implementation of Industry 4.0 standards
Construction of a new green-field site in Switzerland
Onboarding of other sites around the globe

:Your Tasks:

Conceptional design of the OT architecture (Applications, Integrations, Dataflow)
Technology selection and implementation (e.g. MES, Historian, Integation Layer, Reporting, IIoT)
Development of solutions (DevOps) together with the business
Definition of new standards and processes
Strong collaboration and teamwork with all stakeholders
Driving Innovation
Global roll-out to our sites in US and Switzerland
Review and assess cyber security threats and definition of remediations
Management of 3rd party integrator to ensure they are meeting agreed services and quality levels
Develop and maintain documentation

Your Profile:

Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or in a related field (PhD is a plus)
Enthusiasm for new technologies and interest to learn new subjects
Experience in OT Systems with relevant subjects of security, network, hosting
Experience in Manufacturing and Industry 4.0
Experience in control systems design, implementation and/or maintenance
Knowledge in industrial communications & automation (OPC-UA, APIs…)
Knowledge in data management and data modelling is a plus
Team player with understanding of IT and business jargon
Entrepreneurial attitude - taking responsibility in understanding topics, owning them, and delivering success (end-to end solution)
Fluent in English (verbal and written) and German (office language)
