Shipping Technician II

Your Responsibilities

The Shipping Technician II is responsible for ensuring the shipping of peptides and other necessary

items in Bachem.


Your Tasks

·         Process outbound shipments for Bachem Americas

·         Track domestic shipments, clear international shipments, and resolve issues with customs and other regulatory agencies

·         Complies with SOP’s, cGMP and other agency standards and practices as it relates to pharmaceutical manufacturing

·         Perform routine cleaning of all areas controlled by Shipping

·         Assist in the training new hires to the required standards of performance

·         Keep shipping supplies stocked and organized

·         Help with catalog and  custom peptides inventory disposal and clean up

·         Assist in  special projects as needed

·         Primary key user of BAQEM Master Control

·         Primary key user of Libero Manager

·         Provide support to Sales as needed

·         Help to cap and label special projects, as needed


Your Profile


·         High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent education

·         5-7 years in a shipping environment

·         Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

·         Strong knowledge of domestic (DOT) and international (IATA) shipping procedures, including customs regulations and paperwork (i.e. NAFTA

          forms, Commercial Invoice, Bill of Lading) using internal systems and processes

·         GMP mindset with a high degree of self-discipline

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

·         Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

·         Ability to interface with regulatory agencies i.e. Customs Border and Patrol and FDA

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·         Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment

·         Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues

·         Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems

·         Ability to work independently and manage one’s time

·         Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment



·         BS Degree preferred
