A Brief Overview 

 

Join us for an exciting internship where you'll gain hands-on experience in manufacturing, technical operations, and process R&D. Our program is designed to offer you meaningful exposure to the CMO/CDMO industry, fostering professional growth, mentorship, and a deeper understanding of Bachem's culture and operations. 

 

Duration of internship: 10 Weeks

Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

Hourly pay: $24.00

   

What you will do

 

  • CMO/CDMO industry and its vital role in the development of new chemical entities (NCEs) and the commercial manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) that impact the health of patients worldwide.
  • FDA regulations/GMP requirements for peptide and small molecule manufacturing.
  • Safety and quality practices that are essential for our team members and the delivery of high-quality products.
  • Apply focused training and application the lab under direct supervision.  
  • Grow your skills in chemistry and data analysis through direct application.
  • Achieve results by completing a project and reporting on results to the management team at the end of the internship.
  • Collaborate by working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or recent graduate in a related field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering.)  Must have completed at least the equivalent of 50% of the requirements to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree (entering Junior year or higher).

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. 

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Demonstrated compliance with lab safety protocols and commitment to quality work.
