A brief overview

 

As Digital Technology Director, Americas, you shape how digital technology supports our US operations. You work with site leaders and global IT to turn business priorities into clear and practical technology plans. Your focus is on results: Stable operations, strong project delivery, secure and compliant systems, and continuous improvement. Over time, you are expected to deliver measurable business benefits through digitalization. You lead mainly through influence, aligning teams and making sure technology delivers value on the shop floor.

 

What you will do

 

Lead and align teams
Lead across site and global teams using matrix leadership. Set priorities, enable collaboration, and drive strong execution. An important part of the role is building team capability so people, roles, and ways of working grow with the sites. You foster ownership, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Turn strategy into execution
Work with site leadership to define and deliver site level digital and IT priorities aligned with global IT and OT strategies. Build and maintain clear technology roadmaps covering applications, infrastructure, data, cybersecurity, connectivity, and IT / OT integration. Ensure digital technology needs are considered early in capital projects and site expansions.

 

Deliver projects that matter
Ensure successful delivery of digital and IT projects by working closely with delivery teams, vendors, and site partners. Keep projects focused, remove blockers, and make progress visible.

 

Run stable and secure operations
Oversee reliable and compliant IT services across infrastructure, applications, and user services. Manage escalations, support business continuity, and lead major incident response. Maintain oversight of IT assets, lifecycles, and site level budgets.

 

Be a trusted business partner
Act as a close partner and escalation point for site and regional leadership. Communicate clearly on priorities, risks, timelines, and service performance. Represent site needs in global governance forums.

 

Ensure compliance and manage risk
Support audit and inspection readiness by identifying technology risks early and driving effective mitigation in validated environments.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field
  • Seven or more years of experience in IT leadership roles, ideally in pharma, biotech, chemical, or industrial manufacturing
  • Proven experience defining and delivering digital or technology roadmaps with clear business impact
  • Experience working in regulated environments, GxP experience highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management, infrastructure, and application lifecycle management
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing IT and OT and digital operations systems such as MES, LIMS, EBR, and shop floor solutions
  • Familiarity with digital manufacturing and Pharma 4.0 concepts including real time data, equipment integration, analytics, and automation
  • Experience leading cross functional initiatives in multi-site environments
  • Ability to work with senior leaders and influence without direct authority

 

 

Base Annual Salary Range

 

$141,760 to $194,920

 

Placement of new hires in this wage range is based on several factors including education, skill sets, experience, and training.
