Technical Author

Bachem is a world leader in the development and manufacture of peptides and oligonucleotides for the pharmaceutical industry. To strengthen our Technical Operations team in Vionnaz (Valais, Switzerland), we are looking for a Technical Author (all) 100%.

As a key member of TechOps, you will create and maintain GMP manufacturing documentation, support technology transfer and new product introduction projects, and ensure process knowledge is translated into compliant, manufacturing-ready records. You will also contribute to the implementation of eMBPR and the digitalization of manufacturing documentation.

Your key responsibilities

• Create, review, and maintain GMP documentation supporting manufacturing operations and technology transfer activities.
• Prepare Master Batch Production Records (MBPRs), manufacturing instructions, protocols, reports, and related technical documents.
• Translate process knowledge and development data into compliant, manufacturing-ready documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Process Scientists, laboratory teams, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
• Support technology transfer projects from process familiarization through commercial implementation.
• Participate in new product introduction projects and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Ensure documentation complies with GMP requirements, internal procedures, and regulatory expectations.
• Contribute to the implementation of eMBPR and the standardization and digitalization of manufacturing documentation.

Your Profile

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong scientific background with a solid understanding of chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or chemical environment.
• Experience in technical writing, manufacturing documentation, technology transfer, or process development.
• Familiarity with batch record creation and document management systems.
• Excellent technical writing skills with strong attention to detail and a structured approach.
• Fluent in French and English (minimum C1 level). German is a strong asset.
• Proactive team player with strong organizational and communication skills;
