Sr. Facilities Technical Coordinator
A brief overview
The Sr. Facilities Technical Coordinator, in conjunction with the Manager of Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for assisting with building maintenance and repairs. The incumbent will take the lead for repairs and modifications of facility support equipment and industrial process equipment.
What you will do
- Administrate the Computerized Maintenance Management System: Complete and coordinate with department heads all repairs, as necessary, to offset downtime and production delays; Maintain effective preventative maintenance programs, as directed by management; Cross-train other facility technicians and build their current skill set
- Be a subject matter expert in your respective skill set: Must be capable to train & coach team members; Demonstrate effective teamwork with all staff from diverse backgrounds
- Perform routine and non-routine equipment maintenance, modification and repairs in a timely basis: Maintain electrical and electromechanical and Mechanical systems within the facility including but not limited to, breaker panels, generators, electrical motors and motor controls; Troubleshoot, evaluate and make recommendations during regular inspections; Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Document repairs, adjustments and replacement of equipment per SOP’s and CGMP regulations, including PR/PO management; Write and update SOP’s, including documentation, i.e. create, write and manage Change Control Documents, SOPs, CAPAs, investigations etc.
- Coordinate with outside maintenance vendors for special projects on an as-needed basis: Manage facilities service providers and maintenance contractors; Assist maintenance contractors in troubleshooting of equipment
- Order parts and components for repairs as needed: Assist with the organization and inventory of spare parts; Maintain a clean and well-organized maintenance room
- Must arrive to work on time for both scheduled shifts and unscheduled call in shifts; Must follow all safety rules and ensure compliance
- Review and implement CGMP procedures and equipment specifications
- Keeps the facility clean, orderly & in compliance
- May perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years relevant experience (preferred)
- Associates or trade school certification with 7+ years relevant experience
- High School diploma or equivalent with 9+ years relevant experience
- High level of mechanical ability, specifically with process equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions within various systems throughout the facility
- Intermediate experience with electrical systems and controls
- Familiarity with VFD controllers, PLC logic controllers, chillers, boilers, electrical circuits, air conditioners, and all general facility equipment
- Familiarity with documentation practices in a cGMP environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
- Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues
- Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
- Ability to function well in a team environment
- Flexibility of working hours based on business needs, may include some nights and occasional weekends; Must be able to work a rotating on-call schedule
Base Hourly Range: $31.69 - $43.58
Placement of new hires in these wage ranges is based on several factors including education, skill sets, experience, and training.
