Production Support Specialist

The Production Support Specialist will primarily provide support to the Manufacturing Department in all administrative activities.  In addition, this position will also help production Directors, Managers, and Team Leaders to support all ongoing manufacturing activities.

 

Your Tasks:

 

  • Ensures the on-time delivery of administrative activities in support of the Manufacturing department
  • The support specialist will be trained and become an SAP key user entering process data in support of manufacturing supervisors and team leaders.
  • The support specialist will assist team leaders and manages schedule, enter data using planning systems, and coordinate production activities. This may include
  • communications to vendors, other departments, or customers for time-sensitive material
  • Carrying out major assignments in conducting the operations of the business
  • Performing work that affects business operations to a substantial degree even if only related to a segment of the business
  • Involvement in planning long-term or short-term business objectives
  • Investigating and resolving matters of significance on behalf of management
  • Perform relatively routine duties associated with various operation's functions
  • Assist with activities that are more complex, monitor progress and quality, and obtain assistance from supervisor or coordinators regarding resolution of problems
  • Follow specific instructions to compile, prepare and report data and information. Analyze nature and scope of routine problems and resolve or provide information for resolution. Maintain detailed records and logs
  • Utilize computer programs for various administrative and office procedural purposes. Perform calculations, conduct basic analyses and provide related data and information
  • Support administrative duties in office setting
  • Provides analytical support to Quality, Manufacturing, and other functions
  •  Assists with data analysis or other internal investigations
  • Provides back-up services to support Manufacturing and Quality Department functions including MBPR and SOP review/revision. Will also provide support for deviations, CAPA, and investigation documents 
  • Be a leader in ensuring site cGMP compliance
  • Maintains communication and working relationships with managers, cross-functional teams, and staff
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, detail orientation, the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritize work
  • Maintain and update SAP, individual manufacturing hours, inventory and schedules with planning and other associates for timely deliver
  • Act as the assistant to Manufacturing team
  • Will work both independently and as part of a team
  • Respond to technical inquires and concerns on behalf of senior manufacturing team

 

Required:

 

  • BS degree in Chemistry preferred, other natural sciences accepted
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong analytical skills, with an aptitude for detail oriented work and problem solving
  • Experience with ERP based systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven experience working with computations or data analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of personnel
  • Good math skills, computer skills and a good understanding of general Chemistry and Biochemistry
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented, customer service attitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively through writing, phone, and email
  • Some Knowledge of investigational tools and systems
  • Good documentation practices
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
  • Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues
  • Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment

 

Preferred:

 

  • Experience with Peptides
  • Project management and oral presentation skills a plus
