The Bachem Group is investing in a new site in Sisslerfeld in Northwestern Switzerland. This step is part of our long-term strategy to expand production capacity. To strengthen our team in Global IT, we are looking for a Master Data Management & Governance Specialist (a), 80-100%

 

Your tasks:

  • Own the master data workstream for the new Sisslerfeld manufacturing facility, ensuring readiness throughout commissioning, qualification, validation, and go-live.
  • Define and establish SAP master data structures, including materials, BOMs, recipes, routings, batches, equipment/resources, business partners, and procurement data.
  • Lead master data migration, extension, loading, and validation, ensuring data readiness is integrated into site go-live criteria
  • Establish the site's cross-functional data governance model, including ownership, stewardship, decision rights, standards, and approval workflows
  • Align manufacturing, quality, supply chain, procurement, engineering, finance, and IT on data definitions, standards, naming conventions, and responsibilities
  • Implement data quality controls, KPIs, scorecards, and remediation processes, supported by training and change management
  • Ensure master data processes comply with GMP, ALCOA+ data integrity, validation, audit, and regulatory inspection requirements
  • Ensure alignment with the company-wide data governance framework, including integration with downstream systems such as MES, LIMS, eQMS, WMS, and the enterprise data platform

 

Your profile:

  • Several years of experience in master data management, data governance, or a related discipline, ideally within pharmaceuticals or life sciences
  • Strong hands-on SAP master data expertise, particularly material master, business partner, BOMs, routings, and recipes
  • Experience with SAP MDG or comparable MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, Stibo, or Reltio
  • Good understanding of GMP, ALCOA+ data integrity principles, audit requirements, and regulated manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience establishing data governance frameworks, ownership models, and stewardship processes, ideally in a greenfield or transformation environment
  • Strong program delivery and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align and build consensus across multiple functions
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and relevant SAP modules such as PP/PI, QM, MM, or EWM is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; SAP/data management certifications, greenfield pharmaceutical experience, and German language skills are advantageous
