We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager Generics – Portfolio 100% (m,f,d) for our Generics API portfolio who will be responsible for the ongoing support of existing and new international customers in their endeavor to develop accessible medicine. This is an excellent opportunity to gain or expand experience in sales and customer project management in the pharmaceutical industry, learn important aspects of generic drugs development, acquire or use negotiation skills and build relationships in the industry. 

In your work at Bachem you will be supported by experienced specialists from sales and various technical departments (production, analytics, quality, regulatory, project management). Modern ERP and CRM systems will be at your disposal.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop in-depth product and industry knowledge
  • Be major point of contact for assigned customers in relation to product quality, regulatory filing, GMP production and analytical questions to optimize customer experience and quality of service
  • Coordinate internal activities as subject matter expert in LCM projects
  • Accompany the entire sales cycle from quotation to delivery
  • Conduct price and contract negotiations
  • Develop the assigned sales territories
  • Organize and conduct visits to existing and prospect customers
  • Represent Bachem at international exhibitions
  • Enter and update CRM system records
  • Participate actively in internal financial forecasting, demand planning, product design and market strategy discussions


Your qualifications

  • Degree in business or life sciences
  • Experience of 2-3 years in technical sales or project management (life sciences or pharmaceutical service industry is highly desirable)
  • Strong planning and organization skills, business acumen, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Proven selling, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English, German and any other additional language is a plus
  • Proficient with standard IT tools (MS Office) as well as ERP (SAP) and CRM (Salesforce) systems
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
