Sales Manager Custom Synthesis (f/m)

We are looking for a Sales Manager (w/m 100%) to join our Custom Synthesis Sales Team, which is responsible for Bachemꞌs high quality Custom Synthesis service of peptides and amino acid derivatives (AADs). The Sales Manager will be responsible for the acquisition of new projects and ongoing support of our established customers.

 

Your Tasks 

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and e-mails
  • Contact prospective customers to uncover sales leads and finalize the sale
  • Identify market trends and gather relevant market information
  • Build strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Manage key accounts: Cosmetic peptides, diagnostic peptides, and AADs as starting materials for cGMP syntheses
  • Address technical inquiries in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Organize and conduct visits to existing and prospect customers
  • Active representation of the Custom Synthesis Team within product design and market strategy discussions
  • Represent Bachem at international scientific meetings

 

 

Your Profile

  • Master’s or PhD Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharma or Life Sciences
  • 3-5  years technical sales experience in the Chemistry or Life Science industry
  • Positive and proactive attitude towards internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, good knowledge of German, other languages are desirable
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, basic knowledge of Salesforce and SAP is desired
  • Ability to travel 20%
