As a key member of our Enterprise Project Management Office, you will oversee the management and optimization of our diverse project portfolio, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals globally and delivering exceptional value. Your expertise in project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and performance metrics will be crucial in guiding our projects to successful completion.

 

Your tasks:  

  • Strategic Leadership & Oversight: Communicate to the portfolio board and chair how the portfolio components align with strategic goals. Maximize value within the project portfolio and provide options for executive management decision-making.
  • Processes & Standards: Develop criteria for evaluating project portfolios and proposals, create rules and procedures for making portfolio decisions, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Portfolio Planning & Prioritization: Prioritize projects based on strategic criteria, business value, and risk. Optimize the organization's project portfolio to achieve maximum business value.
  • Resource Management: Supervise the work of portfolio & project managers, ensure efficient resource allocation, monitor progress, and manage budgets and schedules for the project portfolio.
  • Optimize Project Portfolio Performance: Use data-based analysis to track analytics in real-time, report on portfolio performance, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Manage risks, monitor implementation of mitigation actions, and resolve or escalate issues that need executive attention.
  • Communication: Communicate with portfolio and project stakeholders, facilitate collaboration, and ensure smooth execution of portfolio management processes.

 

Your profile:

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in project management, with several years in a leadership or executive role overseeing multiple projects or portfolio.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Project Portfolio Management, PfMP certification required.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate project performance, using metrics and data visualization to support decision-making.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the project portfolio
  • Master’s degree in business administration, chemical/pharmaceutical engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership qualities to inspire and manage diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Fluent in German & English, French is a plus
