To drive our continuous organic growth, we are constantly looking for highly qualified professionals. To strengthen our team in the Global IT department, we are looking for a dedicated IT Supplier Manager (f/m/d), 100%.

Your tasks:

  • Define and execute the global IT supplier strategy aligned with Bachem’s digital roadmap.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to all IT departments, providing market insights and commercial expertise.
  • Drive continuous cost optimization through benchmarking, consolidation, and competitive sourcing.
  • Establish and maintain a global delivery and support model that meets regional and regulatory needs.
  • Identify and shape long‑term strategic partnerships to enable innovation and capability growth.
  • Ensure a structured and measurable vendor governance model (SLAs, KPIs, reviews).
  • Lead strategic reviews focusing on value creation, innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Own contracting and commercial strategy to ensure transparent cost structures and TCO optimization.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives (RFPs) and monitor market trends for emerging solutions.
  • Ensure globally consistent service delivery, addressing structural issues and driving systemic improvements.

 

Your profile:

  • Master’s degree in IT, Business Informatics, Technology Management, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in IT supplier management, strategic sourcing, or multivendor governance.
  • Proven track record of value generation (cost optimization, TCO reduction, efficiency gains, innovation impact).
  • Strong ability to act as a central enabler, co‑creating sourcing and service models with IT service owners.
  • Deep experience negotiating software and cloud licensing agreements with focus on flexibility and risk reduction.
  • Expertise in global service delivery models, cloud & managed services, and modern vendor ecosystems.
  • Solid understanding of contracting frameworks, commercial models, SLAs/KPIs, and performance management.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (Life Sciences / GxP) with compliance awareness.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and collaboration skills across IT, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Quality & Security.
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem‑solving capabilities
  • Fluent in English (German an advantage).
