The Group Leader Global Service Management reporting to the Director of Global IT Operations will ensure that IT infrastructure services are designed, planned, implemented and improved in line with both current and future business needs.  He/she will engage and coordinate relevant functions in IT Infrastructure, IT Application and End User Experience organizations across all sites to ensure the consistent world-wide deployment of processes, tools and technology essential for effective service delivery and development.


In this role you will:


  • Build-up the new Global IT Infrastructure Service Management organization of BACHEM and create the new Service Catalogue
  • Hire the required people to run the organization and develop our current associates into the relevant roles
  • Review existing contracts and re-negotiate as needed
  • Identify new partners or develop existing partnership to support the growth of the company by delivering state of the art, robust and GxP compliant services to the organization on global basis
  • Develop new processes to fit the new organization structure, ensuring impeccable user experience
  • Ensure service and technology roadmaps are created, budgeted and delivered in-line with current and future business requirements
  • Ensure overall financial management, control and stewardship of IT assets used in the provision of IT infrastructure services
  • Work together with our IT PMO organization to deliver key IT infrastructure projects



What you bring:


  • Leadership skills to build, recruit, lead and develop a service-oriented IT organization in an international setting
  • Detail planning capabilities, analytical and strategical thinking, ability to break large problems in small elements
  • Experience in managing competing priorities
  • Exceptional communication and good people change management capabilities
  • Negotiation skills
  • Risk assessment and management experience




  • At least 10 years of service management experience, including in the area of service design and service operation
  • At least 5 years of experience and broad understanding in IT Infrastructure (network, data center, server management, directory services, workplace services)
  • Experience in laboratory and manufacturing (OT) infrastructure services
  • Experience in manufacturing network design (IT/OT network architecture)
  • ITIL certification
  • Vendor management experience

  • Fluent german speaking, good writing level
